Role: Videographer for indoor, studio shots. Shot for Esterlyn.
This was a bit of a 4-day impromptu shoot. I remember M**** asking me one day if I was down to shoot a music video and then the next thing I knew, we’re building a set in the studio and hauling in tons of equipment.
The band brought in a lot of lamps and we busted out the video dolly. The shots I filmed were using a Panasonic DVX with a Nikon lens adapter and what I believe was either a 75mm or 100mm lens. The thing shot gnarly depth of field and between the moving dolly, panning, tilting and zooming, my wrist and focus hand was definitely feeling the work and the strain. Overall, it was a really fun shoot and a nice change of pace from the usual stuff I had been working on.
The Making Of: I’m the asian kid, behind the camera, on the dolly.
