Lacie box as an arm rest and the MacBook as a night light: Stew Johnson

Lacie box as an arm rest and the MacBook as a night light.

When I met Stew, he was in the tail end of what was turning out to be almost a 9-month long, non-stop filming trip. It was in SLC Utah and he had been traveling through the US with my good friend Dave Thompson (with a special guest appearance by Dirt Ron). They were eventually going to be cruising through Boise, which was my destination goal, and were kind enough to let me tag along. I spent a few days with them roaming around Salt Lake before finally parting ways on a rainy evening in Idaho.

The days spent with them opened up my eyes to what it’s like to live as one of the industry’s top videographers. With a Props deadline quickly approaching, the scene in the photo above wasn’t an uncommon sight. At one point, it even happened in the backseat of his van while cruising down the interstate. I thought he was heading back there to take a nap but he opted for putting in work instead. Thanks for the ride.
