Treefort Music Fest – Boise, Idaho
I missed out on last year’s inaugural Treefort Music Fest but I made up for it this time around with plenty of partying and shutter clicking. Here are some snapshots I collected from the weekend. Shout out to The Dedicated Servers for hooking me up with a pass and Pie Hole for keeping my camera safe when I had left it on their patio. That was probably the fastest I had ever ran in my life.

I’m not sure how he did it, but believe it or not, Austin skated out of this real clean. Once for fun and twice for the camera. Shot at Rhoades Skatepark, Boise, ID.

I had heard of GWAR before prior to this show but I didn’t know much about them. I just knew Mat Hoffman liked them and a handful of their songs had been in BMX videos. It wasn’t until I saw this Joan Rivers interview that I realized the extent of their awesomeness.

If you would’ve asked me a few years ago which Doritos flavor I prefer (Cool Ranch or Original Cheese), I probably would’ve said Original Cheese because you can’t go wrong with cheese. Cheese is the best shit ever and you just can’t fuck with it. I don’t understand how vegans can go without it.
However, if you were to ask me that same question today, I’d answer Cool Ranch. I’m not really sure why though because if I had the option to eat ranch or eat cheese on its own, I’d still choose cheese. You might not know this but eating (or drinking?!) ranch on its own is just disgusting. Who in their right mind would do that? NO ONE. I think I’m getting off tangent here though because this is all besides the point. The bottom line is something happened between now and then that has influenced me to choose Cool Ranch over Original Cheese whenever it comes to Doritos. That’s it. Now you know and don’t you ever forget it. Later on in life, somebody’s going to stick a gun to your head and if you don’t answer them correctly regarding my flavor of preference when it comes to Doritos, YOU WILL DIE.
Anyway, here are some pics from this year’s Ranch Fest. Thanks to the Dedicated Servers for extending the invite and the kind folks in Finn Riggins for putting it on.

California
I’ve had this roll of film sitting inside of my broken Canon for the longest time now. The advance lever on it broke and I had to carry around a little wrench to advance the frame after each click. It was kind of a hassle but it is my favorite camera and I was determined to use it that day. As it turns out, that happened to be the only day I ever shot with this roll. These photos were shot on my first birthday after moving down to California and for the three years which followed, the roll and the camera just sat inside the glove compartment of my car.

Shortly after closing the door to shoot this photo, I realized I hadn't installed the knob yet.
